Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering at the Little Sea Folk Festival! We want you to have a great time, hang out with fun people, and to experience the festival. You’ll be working in teams of two, and we will rotate you through volunteer stations in two hour shifts, so you will have the ability to see the festival from multiple points of view! When you sign up to volunteer, please rank your top three positions and we’ll do our best to make sure you get a chance to volunteer in one of your chosen positions. We’re looking forward to hearing from you, and we’re so excited you want to be a part of making the festival a success!

Are you the kind of person who likes to be in the middle of the action? Do you have a smile and a hello for everyone? If so, staffing one of the doors would be for you. You can hear the music, chat with guests, and be the front face of the festival.

Stage Hand:
Can you lift up to 25 pounds, move quickly, efficiently, and carefully? As a stage hand you’ll be responsible for helping our artists load in and strike their equipment between exhibits, and be on hand for last minute needs. Experience isn’t required, but we’d love to know if you have it!

Are you flexible, responsive, quick thinking and do you know how the little details of an event can make or break a day? As a facilities volunteer you’re the festival’s jack-of-all trades. From the nitty-gritty to the big picture, you will get to see how the festival is run, and help us keep it running smoothly.

Green Room:
Volunteering in the green room is an important part of festival security and hospitality. Keeping instruments and festival supplies safe are an important part of this position. You’ll also be on hand to make performers feel welcome and supported.

Box Office
At the box office, you’re the first person from the Little Sea Folk Festival our guests will interact with. If you’re super stoked about the festival and effortlessly positive, we’ll want you in the box office!

Merchandise Sales
It’s not a festival without awesome merchandise, and if you’re comfortable working in a fast-paced and fun retail environment, the merch stations are for you. We’ll have all sorts of great stuff on hand, and a point-of-sale, so you won’t have to tell people “cash only.” We’ll train you on the POS, but if you’re already familiar with merchandise sales, we’d love to know!
